Mabel

Original lino cut print of a very sleepy and cuddly cat. Based on my mum’s lovely cat Mabel, however it is a pose that all cat owners and lovers will be very familiar with!

This is an original design and has been completely handmade. It started out as pencil drawing I made of Mabel the cat, I then transferred my drawing onto a lino block and carved this out with lino cutting tools. The block was then inked and I printed it onto the paper using a wooden spoon to burnish. Each print is the final artwork and not a reproduction.

Printed in black oil based ink onto ivory coloured paper.

Limited edition of 50.

Each print will come numbered and hand signed by the artist (me!)

Paper size is approximately 31cm x 22cm, the printed area is slightly smaller.

This artwork will be signed to be displayed portrait orientation, but it works equally well landscaped. (I can sign the work in a different place for it to be displayed landscape if you request it).

Due to the handmade nature of this artwork, each print will have slight variations making each print unique!

(Prints are sold unmounted and unframed, the lino block and tools are not included).
